The CPI(M) LED LEFT DEMOCRATIC FRONT (LDF) has won election in Kerala. PINARAYI VIJAYAN is set to become the next Chief Minister of Kerala. 

Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) and its aliance partners have won in Assam. Sarbananda Sonowal is all set to become the next Chief Minister. 

In West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee  led Trinamool Congress Party (TMC) has won the election battle.

All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) under C.M J. Jayalalitha won in Tamil Nadu election (2016)

In Puducherry Congress has been declared victorious. 
  
President Pranab Mukherjee has inaugurated an intelligent operations centre (IOC) in Rashtrapati Bhavan and he also launched 'Monitor', a mobile app. for transformation of Presidents Estate into a Smart Township.  
India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its prediction said the cyclone named RDANU is likely to hit Andhra Coast by 20 May, 2016 night.

The Union Minister of Health and  Family Welfare J.P Nadda has launched the centre for Environmental Health in New Delhi.
PEHAL Programme in SHIMLA has been introduced by C.M Virbhadra Singh.
